DiscussionWhat is a scientist?
Who can be a scientist? What are some career options? What resources are available? Engage in a conversation led by LGBTQ+ scientists to break down stereotypes, evaluate the current state of LGBTQ representation in the field, and get an introduction to scientific careers. We've designed this discussion to be relevant to wide audience of high school or early undergraduate students who may or may not be currently considering a career in science. Join us as we talk about what it means to be out in science!

Career guidanceWhat are my scientific interests?
How can I get hands-on experiences? What are my career goals? What are the next steps I need to take? Career guidance is meant for students who are interested in pursuing an education in science, but may still be exploring their career options and might have some additional questions. We've designed this event to have LGBTQ+ scientists talk about their career path and the work required to make a career in STEM a reality. After providing useful career guidance, we end with a panel discussion that allows students to ask whatever career questions are on their mind.
